A glitch in zkSync’s software led to the inadvertent activation of a security protocol, resulting in a network crash that rendered it inaccessible for a few hours.


On December 25, developers of the zkSync network encountered an unexpected disruption, prompting the team to conduct a holiday inspection to identify and address the issue, as announced on Christmas Day. Following approximately five hours of investigation and resolution efforts, zkSync was successfully restored and back in operation.
